My father was eligible to take sabbatical in my junior year of high school and while my sister and I dreamed of all of the exotic possibilities, my father had something far more practical in mind. We returned to the region of my birth so he could conduct research at the University of Delaware. It is quite odd to return to a home you don't quite remember to visit family that you've never met, but for almost 6 months of 2015 I got the chance to connect with my roots.
