I took this photo while in North Carolina for my cousin's funeral. I found it striking because even though the tree is wounded, it is still majestic. I love the radial pattern of the branches.

This photo was also taken in North Carolina. We had pulled over to a small park for a breather, and there was this wooden table with a puddle on it that captured the image of the living tree. To me, the tree mirrored in the puddle looked like a memory of what the table used to be.

I confess, I find trees fascinating. This picture was all about capturing texture.

We missed celebrating Mother's Day on the actual day, so we decided to pack up the whole family and go down the next weekend. While we were at the park, I noticed  a flag display for Memorial Day. Here's the resulting picture.

I took a series of pictures at the aquarium in Denver when we went for my sister's birthday. The photos were very hard to take because the lighting was distorted and shooting through glass and water is very difficult.

We spent a large portion of our time in North Carolina being lost. This was one of the places where we turned around. I liked the lines in this photo and the contrast between the yellow buses all in a row and the lone white one.

I took this picture one night in Denver. I loved how the bicycle tires lined up.
